How Much does it cost to go to a World Cup (2014 probably Brazil)?

A roundtrip flight will be around $2000 from the US.
Tickets per game are from $200-800.
And expect hotels to be really expensive during the World Cup from $100-300 per night.
So an example of 2 weeks/14 days and to watch the first 3 group games of your favorite team is..
1. $2000 + $1000 + $2000 + $1500 = $6500
flight + 3 game tickets + 14 days of hotel + misc. for food and other things = Minimum you should save for the world cup
