I cannot imagine another European World Cup right after Germany 2006 honestly.
Remember last time the US hosted in 94 it had the highest attendance of any world cup and it was only contested by 24 teams!
Also only on 1 occasion has there been back to back European world cups and FIFA wants to avoid that.”
It’s not easy or practical to shift such a big occasion to another country on a short notice. And it has never happened before. South Africa will definitely be allowed to host the 2010 world Cup. FIFA only has the rights to sanction the World Cup host if the proceedings are not up to standards. And FIFA has the right not to give any other African nation the right to host the World Cup in the future. The 2010 South Africa World Cup will happen………….
I’m not entirely sure if the 2010 World Cup will take place in South Africa. I really don’t think that they will have the infrastructure, security or venues ready in time to support the press, fans and teams that flock to the World Cup.
There are loads of countries that could step in to host the World Cup with short notice – Germany could host again, the UK has the stadiums to host as does the States.
Hopefully high. Europe or USA sounds a lot better than South Africa!
Nobody hosts a football tournament like Europe. Italy, France, Germany, England…
Nice stadiums. Good grass. Better celebration ceremony.
“Favorite MU fan S” There are more football fans here than you think. Have you not heard of traveling fans?
The average attendance for the 1994 FIFA World Cup was 69,000 while the total attendance was 3.6 million. The 1994 World Cup holds the record for the highest attendance in World Cup history. It was also the highest-attended single sport sporting event in United States history.
