Will Miroslav Klose be able to play in the 2014 World Cup?
John asked:
Klose has been one of my all time favorite strikers. 2010 was his THIRD world cup, and usually for many players, it’s their last. Now he has 14 world cup goals, just 2 more goals and he’ll beat Ronaldo’s record. By 2014 he’ll be 36, do you think he’ll still be able to play for Germany? With all the new talent by then, is it possible?

Yes, he will. But as a bench player . He’ll back up Müeller or Podolski, but he’ll be there. And probably break Prince Ronaldos Record

Hi,
Yes it is. As long as he is able to still score goals. Germany may pick him for sentimental purposes bearng in mind that he only needs a few more goals to become the leading world cup goal scorer in history. However if he gets picked he is unlikely to be a bench player and only play a few minutes of each game. Martin Palermo actually played as a striker for Argentina at last years world cup at almost 37 years of age. He also scored a goal but only played in one match for a few minutes.

shouldn’t he or klose fans be focused on euro 2012 first, so for 2012 i reckon he has a chance to be called up due to his experience and goalscoring form for germany, while for 2014, age 36 can still get called up but i doubt it, he struggled to score open goals for bayern and germany have keissling and cacau

yes, Klose is one of the most consistent players and is rarely injured. I think he can stay at lazio until then
